manageability features, the XR400 provides multi-protocol support and an extensible architecture.
Intelligence At The Edge
The XR400 supports 3rd-party application hosting for customer-driven, embedded applications; providing an extensible reader platform to service expanding customer requirements. The XR400 development toolkit allows end-users to develop customized filtering and management applications, specific to their own operational environments and the characteristics of their own reader network. General purpose digital I/O ports (for sensor and actuator peripherals such as lights and PLCs) provide integrated support for application-specific peripherals and embeds decision-making processes at the reader network level.
Performance Leadership
The XR400 can operate in proven dense reader mode and its interference-reducing listen before talk functionality ensures accurate data capture and long read ranges in multi-reader environments. Symbol has the experience in deploying EPC readers in these operationally challenging and multireader environments.
