Discontinued Alien RFID Readers
The ALR-2850 reader and tag family is being end-of-lifed. It will no longer be generally available for purchase and will be removed from the product catalog.
Alien is no longer pursuing business in applications requiring BAP tags. Demand for the 2450 MHz BAP product has declined as passive solutions have improved in performance and many asset tracking applications formerly handled by BAP tags can now be handled by encapsulated Gen 2 passive tags at lower expens.
